  • Sensitive identifiers used for account setup and credit approval, such as a Social Security number, where applicable.
  • Payment information — credit/debit card or bank account details used for billing.
  • Account and service details — equipment, system configuration, service address, account credentials, verbal passwords, and the emergency contacts you designate.

  • Provide, monitor, and maintain your security services and dispatch a response when your system signals an event.
  • Set up and administer your account, including credit approval and identity verification.
  • Process payments and manage billing, including past-due balances.
  • Schedule installations, inspections, and service appointments, and send reminders.
  • Send account, billing, appointment, and service notifications, including by text message where you have consented.
  • Respond to your questions and provide customer support.
  • Improve and secure our services, and prevent fraud and misuse.
  • Comply with applicable laws, licensing, permitting, and lawful requests.

3. Text messages & mobile information

If you provide your mobile number, we may send you text messages related to your account, billing, appointments, and security service. You can opt in by signing our service agreement and providing your mobile number, or by texting us to start messaging.

Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not share your mobile information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate our services and as described below:

  • Central monitoring station. A third-party monitoring company that monitors your system and contacts you, your emergency contacts, and responders when an event occurs.
  • Service and technology providers. Companies that help us deliver our services, such as our equipment and monitoring platform provider (Alarm.com) and payment processors, who may only use the information to provide services to us.
  • Professional advisors. Such as accountants, attorneys, and auditors, where appropriate.
  • Legal, regulatory, and safety. When required by law, licensing or permitting authorities, lawful requests, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of any person.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

As noted above, your mobile number and SMS opt-in information are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices & rights

  • You may update your contact and account information by contacting us.
  • You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link.

7. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Our services operate with third-party platforms and equipment, including Alarm.com. Those providers maintain their own terms and privacy practices that govern their handling of information. We encourage you to review the applicable third-party policies.
