What Is Two-Way Voice

When a traditional alarm system would go off, the monitoring center would call the home to make sure everything is okay. SoSmart doesn’t believe this method of monitoring is very efficient in keeping you and your family safe. What if you’re not able to get to the phone in the event of an emergency? 2-way voices uses a hands-free technology that allows the monitoring center to talk to someone in the home without the need for them to pick up the phone. Think of it as a sophisticated speaker phone. When a SoSmart alarm goes off, the monitoring center can talk directly to whoever is in the house, which is vital in the event of a real emergency.

How Does The Lifetime Warranty Work?

Residential: While you’re being monitored by SoSmart, we provide a lifetime warranty on all of our Security Sensors. You don’t have to pay any service fees, tech fees or equipment fees on faulty equipment.

Smart Devices have a limited warranty depending on the manufacturer.

How Do I Receive A Discount On My Home Insurance?

Most home insurance companies offer a discount for having a monitored security or fire system. We supply each customer with a certificate of installation. You can then bring the certificate into your insurance company and let them work their magic. Discounts are typically 5-20% off, but this can vary.

Do I Need An Alarm Permit?

This answer can vary. Most cities require alarm permits. You can search your City's web page to find out. They typically have them online to download. If you’re not sure where to look, reach out to us, and we'd be happy to help you.

How Can I Verify An Employee?

Please call our local office at 405-200-1261. We’d be happy to verify any employee. All of our employees go through a background check and extensive training to ensure your home and family is protected.

Do You Have A Referral Program?

The best way for a company to get their name known is through word of mouth. When a friend tells you to buy something, you trust that product because you trust that person. In order to spread word of mouth, SoSmart offers a referral incentive. We give a $99 referral bonus after your friend is installed with a SoSmart system. If you or your referral is contacting SoSmart for a system, make sure you mention it is a referral. This incentive applies to EVERY one of your referrals!

How Does Video Monitoring Work?

Customers are able to turn on / off video monitoring. They're also able to choose which cameras have video monitoring enabled through their login on our website.

When cameras are monitored with SoSmart, it grants access to view cameras during alarm events. When the customers alarm system goes off and no code is entered to disarm the security system, SoSmart will view the cameras. SoSmart will have access to view camera footage 15 minutes prior to the alarm event, as well as live video footage until the system is disarmed.

This allows SoSmart to give real time info to the homeowner or the police in the event of an emergency. SoSmart does NOT have access to cameras outside of alarm events.
